Distinguished by:
- Regularly-spaced large dots
- Typically occuring vertically along the side of frame
- Color can vary, usually white or blue
- Typically 3 – 6 dots
Caused by:
One of the rollers of your camera is dirty or has an artefact on it. In order to spread the chemistry between the negative and positive part of the photo, the picture passes through two rollers as it ejects from the camera. If the rollers are not clean, it will affect how the chemistry is spread, causing marks to appear.
How to avoid:
- Clean your camera rollers
- Peter and Heinz know how to do it best, check out their instructional video, here.
- The dirt will be located at the same spot where you are seeing it in your photos
