Follow our tips to take great photos with your Polaroid Now: capture the moment and create unforgettable memories.
Natural light
Polaroid cameras love light. The more light, the better your photos will be! Use the flash to achieve the best shots in low-light situations. Shooting without the flash can give great results too — just be sure to add another source of light.
We suggest you always use the flash. On a sunny day outdoors, however, you won’t need your flash at all. Just make sure you’re not shooting towards the sun, as excess light may cause the camera to overcompensate on exposure. Shoot with the sun behind you, facing your subject directly or side-on for a clear, bright photo.
When shooting without the flash, keep your camera as steady as possible. Hold the camera with both hands if possible, and use tricks like resting your elbows on a surface to achieve a still frame.
Framing
Be aware that your photo will not exactly reflect what you see through the viewfinder. For subjects closer than 1.2m (3.93ft) you should adjust your aim slightly up and to the left.
Composition
You can always change your photo composition after focusing on your subject. The shutter button has two positions. First half-press the shutter button, then change the composition and fully press to take the photo once you’re happy with the shot.
