Willing to buy a new Polaroid Now camera? Learn here what are its main features!
The Polaroid Now is one of our latest cameras. Here is everything you need to know about its operation and use.
1) First, take the camera out of the box and charge it using the included charger cable.
2) Once charged, turn the camera on using the yellow power button on the back. You'll see a "0" in the LED display, indicating that there is no film in the camera, so it's time to insert a film pack.
3) Press the film door release button on the side of the camera to open the film door. Insert a film pack into the camera with the darkslide (protective black card) facing up, and the rainbow pull tab facing out. Make sure not to remove the pull tab from the cartridge, as this will be used to remove the empty cartridge from the camera when done. Push the film cartridge all the way into the camera and close the film door firmly. The darkslide will eject from the pack automatically under the film shield (thin sheet that protects your photos from light as they eject). Gently lift up the film shield, and let go, allowing it to retract into the camera. You can remove the darkslide and discard it. The camera's LED will show that you have "8" photos available You are now ready to take some photos!
4) The camera will automatically fire with flash every time, unless you disable the flash by pressing the flash button (located on the back of the camera) once. The flash will reset after each exposure, so if you'd like to continue shooting without flash for multiple photos, press the flash button twice.
5) To use the self-timer option, press the self-timer button on the front of the camera. The orange light on the camera will flash, indicating that you are in self-timer mode. Now, you can put the camera on a flat, secure surface and press the shutter button, and you can get in on the photo yourself. Once you press the shutter button, the camera will count down from 9 seconds and then take your photo. To turn off the self-timer function, simply press the self-timer button again.
6) If you'd like to make a double exposure (two images exposed onto the same photo), press the self-timer button twice in a row. You'll know that you're in double exposure mode because a flashing "1" will appear on the back LED display. Take your first exposure, and a flashing "2" will then appear on the back LED display. Take your 2nd exposure, and the photo will then eject from the camera and begin developing.
Each time a photo ejects from your camera, the camera's film shield will extend with it, to keep it covered and protected from bright light during development. Make sure not to pull the film shield off the camera! Instead, gently lift the film shield up and off the photo, and it was retract back into the camera. You can then quickly transfer the developing photo to a dark place like a pocket or bag while it finishes processing.
